Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Supervisor in Surrey to lead General Merchandise and Fashion associates, ensuring top customer service and efficient task completion. You will partner with the GMF Assistant Manager and Store Management to coordinate priorities and maintain store standards.

The role supports scheduling, assigns coverage across departments, and fosters staff development while upholding safety and cleanliness. Minimum age: 16 or older; Canada locale; wage starts at 21.50 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, promoting products/services, locating merchandise and assisting with purchases.
• Coordinate and direct daily tasks per priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and Store Management Team.
• Assess general merchandise and fashion department presentation and appearance; note deficiencies and implement merchandising changes.
• Delegate, assist and follow up on daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Support scheduling as needed.
• Assign associates to cover shifts and availability tasks across store areas.
• Participate in training and development of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and provide feedback.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, hazard-free work environment by complying with policy and completing safety logs.

Position Summary

To assist in the leadership of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and department processes through partnership with the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and while ensuring task completion.

What You’ll Do

• Job Responsibility #1 Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Job Responsibility #2 Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
• Job Responsibility #3 Assesses the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes where required.
• Job Responsibility #4 Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks
• Job Responsibility #5 Support with scheduling as needed.
• Job Responsibility #6 Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Job Responsibility #7 Participates in the training and development of the General Merchandise and Fashion Associates , and provides feedback as needed.
• Job Responsibility #8 Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.50.
