Walmart Canada in Sept-Îles is seeking a team-oriented General Merchandise and Fashion Associate to support leadership and department processes while delivering strong customer service.

You will help greet customers, promote products, organize displays, assist with scheduling, and participate in training to develop associates. A safe, clean store environment is encouraged and expected.

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and assisting with purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Assists in directing and coordinating task completion according to priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
• Assesses overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments; notes deficiencies for corrective action and implements merchandising display changes as required.
• Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Support with scheduling as needed.
• Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Participates in the training and development of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and debris-free.

Position Summary…

To assist in the leadership of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and department processes through partnership with the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and while ensuring task completion.

• Job Responsibility #1 Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85.
