Job summary

Walmart Canada in Wasaga Beach is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver friendly service while keeping the Deli and Bakery areas organized and well stocked.

You will prepare hot foods, rotate stock, take orders, and ensure compliance with food safety standards, labeling and temperature controls. This is an entry-level, on-site position with training provided.

Qualifications

• Age – 16 or older
• No prior experience required (entry level)

Responsibilities

• Zone the department to keep shelves and displays organized and in the right location
• Rotate stock and check for expired products
• Ensure merchandise is signed and priced correctly
• Adhere to cold chain, thermometer calibration, temperature recording and food handling policies
• Take orders for Deli merchandise and assist with hot foods
• Prepare deli items using utensils and rotisserie oven as needed
• Prepare bakery items following thawing and baking guidelines for quality and display
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing and labeling

Position Summary...A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.What you'll do...1. Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location2. Rotates stock and checks for expired products.3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.6. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.8.
