Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining and organizing the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, taking orders, and preparing deli and bakery items to meet quality and safety standards.

The role requires attention to product rotation, correct pricing, and adherence to cold-chain and safety policies. This is an on-site position at 510 Centennial Pkwy N, Hamilton, ON.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
