Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Courtenay, BC to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining and organizing the Bakery and Deli area. You will assist with stocking, pricing, and fulfilling deli and bakery orders.

Responsibilities include zoning the department, rotating stock, ensuring signage and temperature compliance, and following food safety standards to deliver fresh products to customers.

• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; prepares chicken by rotisserie oven; fills prepared side dishes for display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by thawing and baking to ensure quality and appearance of bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

Position Summary

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you'll do

• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
