Job summary

Walmart Canada Corp in Victoria, BC is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining the Deli and Bakery areas and assisting with stocking and sales.

You will zone departments, rotate stock, ensure accurate signage and pricing, and follow cold-chain and food-safety procedures, including bake/prepare items and fulfill deli orders. Minimum pay starts at $18.70 per hour for this on-site role.

• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
