Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp in Granby, QC is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining the Deli and Bakery areas and supporting stocking and sales. You will zone the department, rotate stock, and ensure pricing and signage are accurate.

The role involves preparing deli and bakery items, following cold-chain standards, and assisting customers with orders and inquiries. Wage starts at CAD 19.05 per hour and is paid hourly.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to organize product shelves, tables and bunkers and ensure products are in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
