Job summary

Walmart Canada in Saskatoon is seeking a compliance and safety coordinator to educate associates and managers on regulatory programs and to monitor controls within the facility. You will drive corrective actions, conduct on-the-spot training, and engage with management and partners to resolve compliance issues.

The role emphasizes data analysis to identify gaps, root cause, and action plans to strengthen compliance, safety, and customer trust.

  • Deliver compliance and safety awareness leveraging Ethics and Compliance resources.
  • Drive compliance improvement by conducting assessments in their facility across designated compliance subject matter areas such as Health & Safety/Fire Code; Environmental; Consumer Protection; Anti Money Laundering; Food Safety/Pest Control; Privacy & Employment; Licenses & Permits; Anti-Corruption.
  • Deliver on the spot compliance training at all levels within the facility including delivering the Compliance portion of new associate orientation.
  • Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and/or trends, identify root cause and support the creation and execution of action plans that will mitigate the risk and drive compliance execution.
  • Participate in regulatory visits and engage appropriate partners for resolution of orders or fines.
  • Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process including online submission, accident investigations, modified offer letters and follow up until resolution.
  • Foster two-way communication with Store Management for attendance management, progress note completion and accountability.
  • Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders.
  • Submit and follow up to Facilities Maintenance requests including pest activity management.
  • Leverage escalation tools to resolve issues and outstanding tickets.
  • Conduct safety walks and inspections as an active safety team member.
  • Follow up on action items identified through Safety Team meeting notes & Inspections.

Position Summary...To collaborate with all levels including Store Management, Market Management, and Subject Matter Experts. They will be responsible for the education of associates and managers on compliance programs.
