Job summary

Walmart Canada in Nelson, BC invites applications for a compliance and safety role at 1000 Lakeside Dr, Nelson, BC. This position focuses on educating associates and managers about compliance programs and driving corrective actions to protect customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include delivering on-the-spot training, performing safety walks, analyzing data for gaps, and participating in regulatory visits and pest control management. Minimum age 16 and above.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compliance and safety awareness leveraging Ethics and Compliance resources.
• Conduct assessments in their facility across designated compliance subject matter areas such as Health & Safety/Fire Code; Environmental; Consumer Protection; Anti Money Laundering; Food Safety/Pest Control; Privacy & Employment; Licenses & Permits; Anti-Corruption.
• Deliver on the spot compliance training at all levels within the facility including delivering the Compliance portion of new associate orientation.
• Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and trends, identify root cause and support the creation and execution of action plans that will mitigate the risk and drive compliance execution.
• Participate in regulatory visits including the online submission and engaging the appropriate partners for resolution of orders or fines.
• Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process including online submission, accident investigations, modified offer letters and follow up until resolution.
• Foster 2-way communication with Store Management that allows for attendance management, progress note completion and accountability to occur as required.
• Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders.
• Submit and follow up to Facilities Maintenance requests including the management of pest activity.
• Leverage and utilize escalation tools to resolve issues and outstanding tickets.
• Conduct safety walks and inspections as an active safety team member.
• Follow up on action items identified through Safety Team meeting notes & Inspections.

Position Summary...

To collaborate with all levels including Store Management, Market Management, and Subject Matter Experts. They will be responsible for the education of associates and managers on compliance programs. This will involve the monitoring of compliance controls in their respective facility, identification of root cause, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement with the intent to build trust with customers, associates, stakeholders, and regulatory entities.

What You'll Do...

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $20.00.
