Railserve is hiring dependable Operator/Helpers in Camrose, AB to support daily rail and transloading operations at an industrial facility. This is a full-time, outdoor, hands-on role critical to keeping railcars moving safely and efficiently.

The position offers on-the-job training and emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability as you assist with switching operations, transloading activities, and the movement of railcars.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Dependable with reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
  • Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand and ground throw switches, derails, and gates.
  • Control movement of equipment using radio, hand signals, and lanterns.
  • Couple and uncouple railcars; handle air hoses and wheel chocks.
  • Apply and release hand brakes to secure or move equipment.
  • Assist with transloading activities, including handling liquid products from tank cars.
  • Monitor track and work areas for hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Follow all operating procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
