Job summary

Capital Planning & Operations at the University of New Brunswick is seeking an Equipment Operator for a full-time, on-campus role in Fredericton, NB. The position involves operating a range of heavy and light equipment to support campus grounds and facilities maintenance.

Reporting to the Operations Foreperson, you will perform pre-operational checks, drive various vehicles, and assist with snow removal, deliveries, and furniture setup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a current, valid class 5 driver''s license with air brake endorsement.
• 3+ years of diversified equipment operation experience; testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and light equipment (loaders, backhoes, trucks, tractors) safely.
• Perform pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and fueling.
• Deliver materials to campus buildings and set up furniture.
• Plow, salt, and sand as required during winter conditions.
• Mow lawns, rake leaves, prune trees and maintain grounds.
