Job summary

Strike Group is seeking an Apprentice Pipefitter for the Mount Bracey Compressor Station project in Prince George, BC. Work involves laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in a camp setting with a 14 days on / 7 days off schedule.

Must be a registered 3rd or 4th year apprentice with provincial/federal authority, and hold H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets. Camp retention and travel allowances apply, safety is a core value, and on-site training is provided.

Qualifications

Must be a registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets. CSTS 09 and CSO/BSO will not be accepted.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.).
Assist journeyperson pipefitters with the installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site.
Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging.
Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape.
Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.
