Job summary

Coast Mountain HydroServices Inc. is seeking a full-time Journeyperson Electrician to join a small team responsible for the operation and maintenance of hydroelectric facilities located in Northwestern BC.

The role emphasizes routine day-to-day operations, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs, with a 14-on/14-off camp schedule and on-call responsibilities. Red Seal or Journeyperson certification and industrial electrical maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

Red Seal or Journeyperson Electrician with 5 years or more post Journeyperson experience.
Experience with electrical maintenance of industrial equipment.
Experience with instrumentation and control systems would be an asset.
Experience in run-of-river hydro generating station would be an asset.
Computer literacy with MS Word and Excel; familiarity with Maximo or SAP.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control plant equipment at CMH hydro facilities including powerhouses, switchyards, and transmission lines.
Turbine/Generator inspection and overhaul maintenance.
Perform routine and unplanned electrical maintenance as part of the team.
Document operating parameters, labor hours, materials used, and maintain work orders in the system.
Ensure safety standards are followed and provide coverage as needed.
