Job summary
Monarch House is seeking a Behaviour Interventionist to implement programs designed by a senior clinical team for children and youth with autism spectrum needs. You will work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary setting to support skill development and reduce challenging behaviours in a 1:1 or small group context.
Evening sessions 3PM-7PM are required; work is community-based across Calgary and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience with children/youth with complex needs or developmental disabilities.
- Pursuing or completed studies in psychology, speech, OT or kinesiology.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 6 months).
- Strong English verbal and written communication; valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Implement programs designed by the clinical team to support skill acquisition and reduce maladaptive behaviours.
- Use behavioural strategies to promote positive client engagement in 1:1 or small groups.
- Maintain safety, follow clinical protocols, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Assist with personal care tasks and create a supportive, engaging environment.
