Job summary

Monarch House is seeking a Float BI to support clients in Calgary, AB. This part-time, hourly role integrates with a multidisciplinary team to implement BCBA-supervised intervention plans and ensure consistent client coverage across centers and community settings.

You will assist with skill-building, behavior support, and daily living tasks while maintaining safety and a positive environment for children and youth with complex needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working with children and youth with complex needs and/or developmental disabilities.
• Education in ABA or related field or pursuing behavior analysis education to meet BCBA/BCaBA requirements.
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for daily use.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute intervention plans developed and supervised by a BCBA for Monarch House clients.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team to support skill acquisition and/or decrease maladaptive behaviors.
• Ensure an engaging and positive client experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate client coverage addressing absences, conflicts, training, and staff shortages.
• Use systematic behavioral strategies to support client behavior change.
• Contribute to program development to teach and reinforce skills in 1:1 or small group settings.
• Understand functions of behavior and respond safely.
• Adhere to clinical training, procedures, and protocols.
• Adapt to changing conditions and provide creative solutions.
• Create a positive and engaging environment for clients.
• Assist with personal care tasks as needed (dressing, toileting, eating).
• Support client well-being and safety.
