Randstad is excited to support one of our clients, located in Burlington, in their search for an AutoCAD Drafter / Designer to join their expanding team. Responsibilities

1. Create, edit, and modify AutoCAD drawings based on engineer-provided designs.
2. Develop and interpret reinforced concrete, steel, mechanical, and shop drawings.
3. Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to meet fabrication and constructability requirements.
4. Design foundation layout plans.
5. Prepare structural specifications and notes.
6. Create steel structure fabrication drawings.
7. Detail steel connection points.
8. Draft concrete foundation details.
9. Assist with design tasks such as calculations, load ratings, structural modeling, analyses, detailing, and estimating costs, under supervision of a senior engineer.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction, or related fields.
• Minimum of 6+ years of AutoCAD experience post-university (university AutoCAD experience alone is not considered).
• Experience with structural steel and reinforced concrete.
• Understanding of engineering principles, assembly, fabrication, and construction processes.
• Experience with Quantity Take-Offs is an asset.
• Proficiency with Inventor or SolidWorks is highly advantageous.
• Experience with mechanical design is an asset.
