Our team in Canada is growing, and we are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Designer to join the team at our Burlington Office.

About the role:

• Drafting of steel and concrete structures in AutoCAD and/or Smartplant.
• Prepare layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
• Interpret and translate the ideas of lead designers and engineers into designs.
• Deliver design drafting according to project timeframes and standards by coordinating with project members, reviewing deliverables, and preparing drawings.
• Overcome design and schedule issues by maintaining oversight of activities, communicating with the Lead Structural Engineer, and addressing issues promptly.
• Maintain consistent drafting standards across projects and devise practical, economical solutions to arising problems.

About you:

• Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (structural or architectural).
• 10+ years of experience in structural steel and concrete design drafting.
• EPC/EPCM environment experience with mining or heavy industrial design is an asset.
• Experience in structural, steel, and concrete plant layout design, including crushing, grinding, materials handling, and flotation.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience managing teams and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
