CAD Artist (Trade Show)
Osborne Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client in their search for a CAD Artist who can conceptualize gameplay experiences, research trends, prototype solutions, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. The CAD Artist will be responsible for creative problem-solving and leveraging a solid understanding of the design process.
Reports to: Technical Director
Responsibilities
- Using AutoCAD, produce and maintain multiple projects simultaneously.
- Maximize team productivity and uphold professional integrity.
- Review and approve work of third-party design consultants as needed.
- Visualize concepts through sketching, digital prototyping, and physical models.
- Gather drawings and specifications, calculate material and equipment needs, and establish production methods.
- Research current gaming and entertainment trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Narrative Design, Creative Design, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
- Prepare and deliver internal presentations for new product concepts.
- Contribute to creating engaging game experiences for a global audience.
- Present work clearly, making revisions based on feedback.
- Apply knowledge of gaming concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Perform various tasks with strong problem-solving skills.
- Maintain CAD standards and specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of AutoCAD experience in a gaming discipline preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in Product, Toy, or Industrial Design.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, value teamwork, manage multiple projects, and have a passion for games.
- Experience designing diagrams, maps, and layouts.
- Proactive in identifying operational issues and redesigning products for better functionality.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software and familiarity with 3D modeling tools.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for collaboration and consumer product development.
- Highly motivated and receptive to constructive feedback.
