Graphic Production Artist – Contract, evening shift

We are currently looking for a Graphic Production Artist to join our team for a 7-month contract on the evening shift (3pm to 12am, 4 days/week). This role is 100% remote; you will be required to come to the office for training, special events, and team-building activities.

Our Graphic Production Artists are responsible for creating flyers, signage, marketing materials, and banners seen across the country. You will utilize your talent to generate, format, and assemble electronic layouts for print and digital media. Responsibilities include overseeing electronic layout of print media, determining page layout elements such as text, artwork, colours, and file types, and producing marketing assets aligned with client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Generate electronic layouts by assembling digital elements.
2. Create graphic elements such as artwork.
3. Produce templates for graphic layouts in collaboration with the design team.
4. Ensure projects meet specifications and produce proofs for approval.
5. Format files according to print standards.
6. Ensure agency files meet print specifications for each job.

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree (or equivalent work experience) in computer graphics or print production.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Graphic Layout Artist.
• Strong knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of the Mac OS (OSX).
• Retail graphic layout experience is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform under pressure, leadership skills, and team collaboration.
• Working knowledge of the Prinergy workflow is an asset.
