Job summary

Denca Cabinets, a Calgary-based custom cabinet manufacturer, is seeking a skilled cabinet finisher to join our team on-site. You will prepare, sand and clean cabinetry surfaces, then apply primers, lacquers and professional coatings to cabinet doors, millwork and furniture.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cabinet finishing, strong color-matching skills, and proficiency with spray equipment and spray booths.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in cabinet spraying, lacquer finishing and wood finishing in a production or custom shop.
  • Strong skills in surface preparation, sanding, staining, and color matching to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining spray equipment, air-controlled spray booths, and related finishing tools.
  • Experience with lacquer and professional cabinet coating systems
  • Ability to produce smooth, consistent, high-quality finishes
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, PPE usage, and safe handling of finishing materials and chemicals.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with production, design, and installation teams.
  • Previous experience in cabinetry, millwork, or furniture manufacturing is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in finishing, woodworking, or related trades is beneficial.

  • Spray cabinet doors, drawer fronts, millwork, railings and furniture
  • Set up and operate professional spray equipment
  • Identify and correct runs, orange peel, dry spray and other finish defects
  • Maintain a clean and organized spray environment
  • Inspect finished work to ensure consistent quality
  • Clean and maintain spray equipment

Role Responsibilities
