Job summary

Elegant Woodwork is seeking a Service Team member in Calgary to perform finishing touch-ups, installations, and quality checks on cabinet projects. The role requires driving to sites across the city, coordinating touch-ups, and maintaining excellent customer service.

We offer full-time hours, benefits, and a company vehicle where available. Applicants should have 3+ years in cabinetry work, own tools, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cabinetry finish touch-ups, installations or custom carpentry.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with clean record (≤6 demerits).
• Own your own hand tools and drills, saws, etc. (basic tool kit).
• Excellent communication and customer service experience.
• Willing to travel daily to multiple sites around the city.

Responsibilities

• Perform service functions on completed cabinet installs.
• Complete quality control checks and required reports within 2 days.
• Schedule and complete touch-up appointments as planned.
• Email completion notices and info to administration before leaving site.
• Review appointments daily and stay in communication with Quality Control.
• Maintain a proactive mindset for cost control and service quality.
• Safely operate and handle all machines and tools; keep vehicle clean.

Custom Cabinetry | Local Craftsmanship | Quality Finishes

At Elegant Woodwork, we take pride in crafting and installing 100% locally manufactured custom kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, finishing carpentry, and closet solutions. Whether the design is traditional or modern, our team brings dream spaces to life with precision and care.

Due to our increased workload we are looking for a new team member for our Service Team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

What makes it perfect for you if:

• Have at least 3 years experience with cabinetry finish touch-ups, installations or custom cabinentry carpentry
• Have 3 years of Canadian Driving Experience and less than 6 demerits
• Own your own hand tools, drills, saws, etc.
• Skilled at prioritizing a busy schedule and will meet deadlines
• Able to decision make and problem solve, on the spot
• Willing to follow procedures and protocols
• Basic Computer and Smart Phone Skills
• Excellent communication skills and customer service experience

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Perform service functions on completed cabinet installs.
• Perform assigned Quality Control checks, and complete the required reports and forms within the 2 day deadline
• Complete assigned touch up appointments on scheduled date
• Email completion notices and any other required information for appointments, to administration before leaving site
• Review scheduled appointments on a daily basis and keep open communication with Quality Control Manager at all times
• Work with a proactive mindset, keeping company costs and customer service at the forefront at all times
• Safe operation and handling of all machines, tools and material.
• Clean and maintain service vehicle
• Ensure the worksite is kept clean and safe at all times.
• Accurate completion of time sheets daily and submission on a weekly basis

Knowledge and Skill Set:

• Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in cabinetry service functions.
• React quickly and appropriately to problems; follow up in a timely matter to issues that are not immediately resolvable.
• Ability to cooperate and work productively with others to meet customer needs.
• Effective listening and clear verbal, as well as written, communication skills.
• Ability to adjust to an environment with changing priorities.
• Flexible, with the willingness and ability to travel daily to assigned sites and to work at various locations throughout the city
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have tools.
• Excellent customer service skills in dealing with homeowners.
• Ability to coordinate several simultaneous tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and a flexible work style.
• Self-motivated with ability to work well independently.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and possess an excellent work ethic
