Job summary

Oakstone Millwork & Design is seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team in Hamilton, ON. You will contribute to all stages of custom millwork production, from reading shop drawings to finishing details, using high-quality materials.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of cabinet making or millwork experience, strong woodworking skills, and the ability to read drawings independently. Laminating experience is required, and you must be able to lift heavy components and work with reliable

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cabinet making or custom millwork experience
• Strong understanding of woodworking techniques
• Ability to read shop drawings independently
• Experience with laminate, veneer, hardwood and melamine products
• Laminating experience is a must
• Able to lift sheet goods or cabinets and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings and production plans
• Build custom cabinetry and architectural millwork
• Cut, machine, assemble and finish cabinet components
• Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently including: table saw, CNC equipment, edge bander, drill press, router, sanders
• Install hardware including drawer slides, hinges, organizers and specialty components
• Ensure finished products meet Oakstone's quality standards
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Problem solving and suggesting improvements when challenges arise

What You'll Be Doing As a Cabinet Maker

you'll be involved in all aspects of custom millwork production, including:

• Cutting, machining, assembling and finishing cabinet components
• Operating woodworking machinery safely and efficiently including:
• Table saw
• Sliding panel saw
• Edge bander
• CNC equipment
• Drill press
• Router
• Sanders
• Installing hardware including drawer slides, hinges, organizers and specialty components
• Ensuring finished products meet Oakstone's quality standards
• Working collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines
• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Problem solving and suggesting improvements when challenges arise

We're Looking For

• 3+ years of cabinet making or custom millwork experience
• Strong understanding of woodworking techniques
• Ability to read shop drawings independently
• Experience with laminate, veneer, hardwood and melamine products
• Laminating experience is a must
• Able to regularly lift sheet goods or cabinets, stand for long periods, and safely handle heavy millwork components
• Reliable transportation

• Experience with: Installation experience
