Cabinet Maker - Business Owner | Cabinetry and Interior Design

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and cabinet installation, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our clients' specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success of our projects, ensuring that each piece is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cabinet making or related millwork.
• Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and common door and drawer hardware.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Skilled in material breakdown to accurately prepare material lists, cut sheets, and fabrication details.
• Experienced in precise cutting using a table saw.
• Proficient in measuring, marking, and laying out work accurately.
• Knowledge of various wood species, materials, veneers, and high-pressure laminate (HPL).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to custom and detailed projects.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices in a shop environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and use hand tools to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
• Install and adjust all necessary hardware for cabinet assemblies.
• Apply veneers, HPL, and other materials with precision and attention to finish quality.
• Inspect completed items to ensure construction accuracy, proper fit, and high-quality finishes.

Job Type:Full-time, Permanent
