Job summary

Service New Brunswick is seeking an experienced CA Gen Programmer / Programmer Analyst II to support the Client Service Delivery System (CSDS), a legacy case-management application.

The role combines steady-state support and project-based development within the Technology Services Division – Health Application Services, supporting the Department of Health. Onsite in Fredericton with a possible hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 8 years of application programming and analysis experience.
• Experience in Java, C++, Struts, and CA Gen 8.5+.
• Experience with SSRS, Oracle, SQL Server, and PL/SQL.
• Strong communication in English, both written and spoken.
• 3+ years with CA Gen 8.5+ and UNIX/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the CSDS application to address client needs.
• Develop and support Java applications and C++ components.
• Perform unit, functional, and regression testing.
• Update functional specifications and technical designs.
• Create SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Participate in system analysis, design, development, and deployment.
• Ensure secure design and coding practices during maintenance.
