Job summary

Aversan Inc. in Montreal, QC is seeking a C++ Software Developer & Tester to strengthen our safety-critical electronics and software systems for aerospace, defence, and space applications.

The role is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement. You will develop and maintain the test harness in C++, work with the TI AM64xx SDK in C, and write FPGA test cases and procedures derived from DOORS and SystemVerilog/UVM tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer, software, or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience in low-level C++ in embedded development.
• Knowledge of STL and metaprogramming, including memory management and runtime integration.
• Experience with memory-mapped device testing and PCI/PCIe cards.
• Experience writing low-level drivers for memory-mapped devices.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining the test harness, which is developed primarily in C++, but also into Texas Instruments SDK for AM64xx processors (in C).
• Write Test Cases and Test Procedures for FPGA tests which run on the target platform (Test Cases in DOORS, procedures in C++) derived from existing DOORS simulation and System Verilog/UVM tests.
• Review Test Cases and Test Procedures for FPGA tests.
• Maintaining python scripts and automation (tool) mechanisms in the harness.
• Understanding of some of the TI peripherals.

We are currently seeking a qualified C++ Software Developer & Tester to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining the test harness, which is developed primarily in C++, but also into Texas Instruments SDK for AM64xx processors (in C).

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer/software/electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience of the C++ in low level programming in embedded development.
• Knowledge of C++ STL and metaprogramming techniques, as well as low-level C++ implementation details for the STL (container memory management, C++ runtime integration, etc.)
• Experience with low-level device testing (i.e., testing devices accessible through memory-mapped areas, such as internal SoC devices, PCI/PCIe cards).
• Experienced in writing low-level drivers for memory-mapped devices.

Compensation:$120,000 – $140,000 CAD (annual salary)

This ensures compensation is fair and aligned with the specific requirements and attributes of each candidate.
