HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. in Stoney Creek, Ontario, invites applications for a 12-month Buyer Intern in Field Services and Spare Parts. This full-time internship is onsite and starts September 7, 2026.

You will track POs, coordinate with suppliers, and manage open POs across the service division. The successful candidate will have education in procurement/logistics/management, SAP knowledge is a plus, strong Excel skills, advanced English, and excellent organizational and multitasking

Qualifications

• Education in procurement, logistics, management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of SAP software is an asset.
• Proficiency in the Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Track Purchase Orders: support the buyer with tracking creation and order acknowledgement.
• Supplier Coordination: follow up on delivery confirmations and ensure compliance.
• Open PO Management: lead coordinating the team to close open POs in a timely manner.
• Continuous Improvement: promote and implement improvements of procedures and processes.
• Supplier Relations: ensure vendors and supplier accounts are in good standing; support with payments and requisitions.
• Problem Resolution: help resolve supplier quality issues and support SCM in pricing negotiations.
