Job description

Our scope ranges from recommending how to use content more effectively to optimizing daily media channel performance and maximizing visibility in eCommerce platforms.

The Audio & Video Buyer is the steward of the buying and implementation process and collaborates with wider buying, media planning and trafficking teams. The role is critical in providing input to the overall investment direction as well as the development and execution of broadcast media buys for their assigned group of clients.

Accountabilities:

  1. Access and compile large volumes of data across disparate sources into concise and precise information
  2. Ensure data quality and data documentation.
  3. Solve problems with internal and external clients on data issues.
  4. Ability to determine and gather data requirements for a given project.
  5. Identify and resolve data discrepancies and reporting issues.
  6. Support the media planning and buying teams throughout campaign activation to maintain performance and resolve campaign-related issues.
  7. Use tools to develop the best execution strategy, rationale, and buy structure to meet campaign goals.
  8. Work closely with the investment leadership team to understand market dynamics and strengthen vendor relationships.
  9. Recommend buy structures that target the right audience while maximizing value and efficiency.
  10. Prepare reporting documentation demonstrating strategy and rationale to meet campaign goals.
  11. Analyze preemption/makegood activity to enhance value delivery.
  12. Negotiate compensation for campaigns and actualize each campaign.
  13. Contribute to overall campaign strategy and optimize performance to meet client goals.
  14. Learn from under-delivering stations/properties to improve future buy structures and executions.

Qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of media planning and/or buying experience focused on TV.
  3. Knowledge of broadcast industry tools (Lens, Infosys, Media Ocean, etc.).
  4. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in numbers and budgets.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  7. High confidence and expectation management skills.
  8. Strong organizational and prioritization skills for managing multiple deliverables.
  9. Ability to organize and present information logically and sequentially.

Additional information

The salary range for this position is $50k-$55k. Actual salary will depend on experience, knowledge, and skills. Benefits include medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and others.
