Job summary

Alstom in Saint-Bruno, Quebec, is seeking a Buyer who will lead the full supplier selection process, including tender preparation and negotiations, and monitor procurement project QCDT for compliance with work package commitments.

You will secure cost commitments by collaborating with costing and tender teams, organize Business Award processes, and drive supplier performance improvements with the supplier quality team, across engineering, operations, and design.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s in Purchasing/Business is a plus.
• 5 years of procurement experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and drive results with autonomy.
• Proficiency in managing supplier relationships, conducting negotiations, and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions.
