Join us as a Buyer, based in St-Bruno (QC), CA. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Deployment of commodities strategy: Ensure project execution in line with QCDT objectives. Support global supplier panel relationships (workload, negotiation, specific agreements).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support global supplier panel relationship
  • Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
  • Monitor daily supplier performance and issues
  • Manage initial issues before escalation
  • Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines
  1. Commodity support on site:
  • Consolidate commodity needs and inputs
  • Participate actively in commodity strategy and panel development
  • Provide inputs to differentiate offerings
  • Support the Commodity Manager during tender phases
  • Represent commodities in projects, platforms, and solutions
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Apply Alstom Transport Sourcing process and share experiences
  1. Involvement in projects:
  • Coordinate projects across departments
  • Prepare and launch RFQs with suppliers
  • Lead tender negotiations
  • Monitor sourcing project QCDT and legal developments
  • Ensure commitment to work package sheets
  • Prepare Business Awards and follow DTRF processes
  1. Support the PrSM (Project Sourcing Manager):
  • Participate in project management committees
  • Manage change requests for cost optimization
  • Ensure QCD application of modifications
  • Report claims and prepare weekly reports

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A Business or Engineering degree with a Master’s in purchasing
  • 3-5 years of industry experience, especially with braking systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and communication abilities
  • Fluency in English and French; international background preferred
