We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Protein Buyer in the poultry sector. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the sourcing and supply of raw materials critical to production.

Status: Full-time, permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, select, and evaluate protein suppliers (primarily poultry) based on quality, price, delivery timelines, and regulatory compliance
• Negotiate purchasing terms (pricing, volumes, lead times, payment conditions) and manage supply contracts
• Manage purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and sales teams to define needs, product specifications, and anticipate demand fluctuations
• Analyze price trends and identify potential risks related to raw material availability

Required Skills

• Bilingual (French and English, oral and written)
• Relevant experience in meat procurement
• Strong negotiation, sourcing, and contract management skills
• Knowledge of the agri-food industry, particularly beef and poultry
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit
• A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., agri-food engineering, logistics, supply chain)
