Join us as a Buyer, based in St-Bruno (QC), CA, in a career-defining role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deploy commodity strategy and support project execution in line with QCDT objectives.
  • Support global supplier panel relationships, including workload management, negotiations, and specific agreements.
  • Monitor daily supplier performance and address issues proactively.
  • Manage initial issues before escalation to line managers.
  • Adhere to Alstom Transport's code of ethics and guidelines.

Commodity support on site:

  • Consolidate commodity needs and inputs.
  • Participate actively in commodity strategy and panel development.
  • Provide inputs for differentiation.
  • Support the Commodity Manager during tender phases.
  • Represent commodities in projects, platforms, and solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders for problem-solving.
  • Apply the Alstom Transport Sourcing process and share experiences.

Involvement in projects:

  • Coordinate projects with all relevant departments.
  • Prepare and launch Requests for Quotation using standard tools.
  • Lead tender and project negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with work package commitments.
  • Manage Business Awards and follow the DTRF process.

Support the PrSM (Project Sourcing Manager):

  • Participate in project management committees.
  • Manage Change Requests by consolidating needs and quotations, challenging stakeholders to optimize costs.
  • Ensure QCD application of modifications in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Report on claims and prepare weekly reports.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Business School or Engineering degree, with a Master’s in Purchasing.
  • Has 3 to 5 years of industry experience, especially in braking systems.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills, including leadership and communication.
  • Is fluent in English and French; international experience is a plus.
