Job summary

TDG Transit Design Group Inc is seeking a results‑oriented buyer to support growing procurement needs. You will oversee requisitions and purchase orders, manage open orders, and collaborate across departments to ensure on‑time delivery to customers.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in sourcing or supply chain, a post‑secondary degree in business, commerce, or economics, and strong data analytics to turn information into strategic decisions within a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain.
• Post-secondary degree in business administration, commerce, or economics.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and procurement systems, data, and analytics.
• Strong data-driven decision-making with analytical skills.
• Well organized and able to balance multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders of raw materials, supplies, services, and plant equipment.
• Manage open purchase orders including on-time delivery and expediting when needed.
• Build relationships and monitor supplier performance to align with organizational needs.
• Escalate supply issues in a timely manner.
• Liaise with Sales and Project Management where supply issues may affect on-time delivery to the customer.
• Monitor changes in the supply base and proactively manage potential impact on future supply.

You will use your expertise to:

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders of raw materials, supplies, services, and plant equipment.
• Manage open purchase orders including on-time delivery and expediting when needed.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge of procurement processes and experience with procurement systems, data, and analytics.
• Results-oriented mindset and demonstrated ability to evaluate information from multiple sources to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Superior analytical skills and ability develop recommendations and strategic solutions from data/information.
• Well organized and able to balance multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
• Self-motivated while still working within a team environment.
