Our well-established Langley based Industrial Service client has an urgent opening for an experienced buyer with junior to intermediate experience.


The ideal individual has had experience with project purchasing including equipment, pipe, valves & fittings. We’re seeking a highly motivated, energetic person who enjoys a fast-paced and challenging environment with a high sense of urgency. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.


The Role:
  • Responsible for day-to-day purchasing activities including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and expediting of product to site.
  • Generate purchase orders to replenish approved products ensuring maximum cost effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships including costing, quality, delivery, and other related metrics to ensure maximum utilization.
  • Coordinate with the site teams to ensure product quality and delivery.
  • Negotiate, review and analyze purchase orders and contracts.
  • Work directly with Supply Chain Leadership on new and innovative ways to manage the supply chain effectively.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience; with preference given to those who have purchased equipment/services or project purchasing.
  • SCMP / Post-secondary training or experience in direct buying and sourcing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Superior organizational skills and planning skills.
  • Prior experience managing inventory control and logistics would be an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task and schedule priorities.
