Job summary

Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa is seeking a Busperson to deliver professional, friendly dining service and support the Food & Beverage team. You will assist servers, answer guest questions about the menu, set up outlets, and ensure smooth running of service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires previous hospitality experience, Smart Serve certification, excellent communication, and fluency in English and French.

• Smart Serve Certification required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Fluent in both official languages (English/French).
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience.
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Ensure the proper setup of all side stations in the outlet.
• Run food orders and replenish product offerings.
• Greet, acknowledge and provide assistance to guests.
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Outlets Leadership Team, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
