Job summary

Fairmont Château Laurier, part of the Accor group, seeks a Bilingual Concierge for a 6-month temporary full-time role in Ottawa. You will assist guests with plans, bookings, and inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and a high standard of service.

You will report to the Chief Concierge and Senior Rooms Managers, supporting the bell desk and guest services while maintaining calm and professional communication in both official languages. $27.50/hour, on-site.

Qualifications

• Previous customer related experience required.
• Must possess a professional presentation.
• Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills.
• Must be fluent in both languages.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time.
• Previous supervisory/management experience a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with any plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during their stay and to ensure timely follow up with guests and any confirmations for bookings.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
• Oversee the bell desk and bell team.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
