Job summary

Petro Service Limited is seeking a Business Systems & Automation Analyst to join our Calgary, Alberta team. You will support ERP operations, create Power BI dashboards, and build automation workflows to drive efficiency across our business functions.

You will collaborate with business users, identify improvement opportunities, and develop documentation and training materials. The role emphasizes continuous learning and leveraging AI capabilities within Microsoft technologies.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in business systems, data analytics, application support, or a similar role.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI; experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate).
• Understanding of business process automation and workflow optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of ERP systems and related business applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user support.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Build and support workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps.

• Create and maintain documentation, procedures, user guides, and training materials.
• Participate in testing, implementation, and deployment of new solutions and enhancements.

• Explore AI and machine learning capabilities within Microsoft technologies to drive efficiencies.
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders, identify risks, and elevate issues when necessary.

• Understanding of business process automation and workflow optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work directly with business users to understand requirements and provide support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong aptitude for technology and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience supporting ERP platforms such as JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics GP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience with SQL Server, data extraction, report development, and database queries.
• Exposure to Power Automate Desktop and robotic process automation (RPA).
• Experience with SSRS, data integration tools, or ETL processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
