As a Business System Analyst, you will be a key member of the project team, contributing to planning and execution from ideation to completion. Your role involves improving work processes, overcoming obstacles, and exceeding stakeholder expectations. What You’ll Do
- Partner with team members to capture, analyze, and document business needs.
- Understand the business problem the project aims to solve and keep the team focused on it.
- Define and manage project scope with the project team.
- Work on business requirements related to IT/Digital Development.
- Document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Create, monitor, and review sprint plans, seeking optimization opportunities.
- Organize and lead working sessions and project update meetings at various organizational levels.
- Collaborate closely with business and technical team members to support project deliverables.
- Identify project issues and roadblocks, and develop mitigation and resolution steps.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for project and process improvements.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an agile environment, preferably with XP practices.
- Scrum Master experience.
- Experience with Digital Implementations.
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Guidewire Cloud Certification is an asset.
- Preference for CIP or equivalent experience with strong insurance knowledge.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, including coding, testing, and deployment.
- Customer-focused, with strong collaboration management and results orientation.
- Focus on business outcomes and benefits.
- Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
- Superior communication skills, both formal and informal.
- Process-oriented in creating and maintaining project artifacts.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and follow up.
- Team-player, team builder, and driver.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
