Job summary

Apptoza Inc. is seeking a seasoned Banking-focused Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to drive requirements for core banking, payments, and deposits. You will work hybrid from Toronto with cross-functional teams to design, document, and implement banking solutions that meet regulatory needs and improve customer experience.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in banking, strong documentation, API/interface knowledge, data analysis, and hands-on UAT planning throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Banking domain experience (Core Banking, Payments, Deposits).
• Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
• Proficient in BRD, FRD, SRS, user stories, process documentation.
• Experience with banking applications and systems.
• Understanding of banking products (Accounts, Deposits, Loans, Payments, Cards).
• API integration requirements and interface documentation.
• Data analysis and requirement refinement.
• UAT planning, test case prep, and defect management.
• Experience collaborating with business users, developers, QA, and tech teams.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Prepare BRD, FRD, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
• Work with development and QA teams to deliver banking solutions.
• Analyze system integrations, APIs, and data flows between applications.
• Support SIT, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Perform gap analysis between current and future-state processes.
• Collaborate with business teams to improve banking processes and customer experience.
• Support implementation and enhancement of banking applications.
• Provide documentation, reporting and status updates to project stakeholders.

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking environments.
