Job summary

ALTEN Canada is seeking a technically strong Business Systems Analyst to support financial operations, regulatory reporting, integrations and insurance systems. You will work on Oracle ERP/Fusion integrations, gather requirements, translate them into technical specs, and collaborate with architects, developers and QA teams.

You will participate in SIT/UAT, ensure governance and compliance, and contribute to data migration projects in a fast-paced, Agile environment across Canada.

Qualifications

• Strong technical BSA background (not a business-side BA) with a development background.
• Ability to understand databases.
• Strong SQL knowledge and ability to read existing code/queries.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments.
• Oracle Fusion / Oracle ERP experience.
• Financial services, insurance or reinsurance experience.
• Enterprise integrations and data migration projects.
• ETL and data transformation experience.
• Jira and Confluence.
• Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of initiative and autonomy.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business, functional and technical requirements
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution designs
• Create user stories, process flows, data mappings and runbooks
• Perform systems analysis, impact analysis, gap analysis and root-cause investigations
• Analyze integrations, data flows, transformation logic and monitoring requirements
• Work closely with architects, developers, QA teams and business stakeholders
• Support SIT, UAT, deployment, cutover and post-production activities
• Ensure traceability, governance, auditability and compliance requirements are met
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and project delivery activities
• Collaborate on Oracle ERP/Fusion integrations and enterprise data initiatives

Day-to-day activities:

• Gather and document business, functional and technical requirements

In accordance with our compensation practices, ALTEN is providing the salary range associated with this opportunity. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is $100,000 – $115,000 per year OR $85/HR
