Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Business Quality Assurance Testing Officer to analyze and diagnose issues and ensure quality across large-scale deliveries and rollouts. You’ll develop and implement test strategies, craft manual test scenarios, and contribute to continuous improvement in QA practices within a complex IT environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous testing, and adherence to ISTQB standards, with strong focus on automation and risk-based testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Eight years of relevant experience in IT quality assurance.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience in test automation.
• Experience developing manual test scenarios.
• Experience drafting and running test strategies and scenarios.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of Xray, Confluence, HPALM.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality control and assurance across projects.
• Recommend solutions to improve standards, policies and programs.

The mission of the Business Quality Insurance Department is to support excellence in project and product delivery. As a business quality assurance testing officer, you analyze and diagnose issues and situations related to large-scale deliveries and rollouts in your area of expertise, as well as provide quality control and assurance. You provide opinions in accordance with your discipline’s rules and recommend solutions to improve and optimize standards, policies and programs. You recommend implementation plans. You play an active role in establishing and implementing multiple quality-assurance strategies for business solutions in a highly complex, large-scale

What You Bring To The Table

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in IT quality assurance
