We are looking for a Business Operations Specialist. Investment Operations Support is a team providing support to the Investment Operations team and its technology requirements. This role is located in Winnipeg, MB.

Our team is looking for an individual that can help us in our efforts to support the daily operations requirements and work on several projects and initiatives throughout the year. This individual’s focus will be on supporting reporting requirements of various stakeholders.

What You Will Do

1. The Business Operations Specialist works closely with the IS team and business leaders to support the day-to-day operations.
2. Provide initial technical support to investment operations.
3. Maintain key configuration in our back-office system.
4. Champion continuous improvement in providing technical support and oversight for investment operations initiatives.
5. Liaise with IS, external vendors, and other stakeholders in supporting our back-office system.
6. Work closely with our vendor in raising system issues and with the IS team.
7. Perform initial functional testing of system changes and support user acceptance testing.
8. Manage reporting development needs of investment operations and stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

1. Business Analyst Certificate program or equivalent training and 2-5 years of experience.
2. Good understanding of business principles and investment accounting.
3. Understanding of SQL query building with SQL Developer or other software.
4. Experience using report writing tools such as BI Publisher.
5. Understanding of IT project methodologies, processes, and practices.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Expertise with MS Office suite and Excel macros.
8. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
10. Ability to adapt to change and perform under pressure.
11. Effective planning and organizational skills.
12. Availability for on-call afterhours support as required.

The base salary is between $50,400 and $75,600 annually. This is the base salary only; additional variable compensation may apply.
