We’re looking for a Business Operations Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, supporting business planning, and contributing to our growth. As a Business Operations Specialist, you’ll support strategic initiatives across the organization by working on diverse and impactful projects, including:
Grant Underwriting
Lead and support applications for Government grant applications for DMAP, Fed Dev, IRAP, and other funding opportunities.
Manage documentation, own client communications, and ensure compliance with governing bodies.
Financial Reporting and Forecasting
Collaborate with leadership to create financial reports and forecasts.
Track financial performance and provide insights for better decision-making.
Lead Special Projects
Drive the execution of “special projects” across the organization that are centred around improving efficiency, removing bottlenecks, and streamlining operations.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct internal interviews, and ensure deliverables are met on time.
Experienced and Adaptable: You have 2+ years of experience in business operations, grant writing, financial analysis or a related field. Start-up experience is a bonus.
Detail-Oriented: You thrive on precision, whether it’s financial data, compliance documents, or project timelines.
Strategic Thinker: You excel at connecting the dots and driving data-driven business strategies.
Strong Communicator: You can explain complex concepts clearly and concisely to different stakeholders.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in financial tools, project management software, and AI tools is a plus. We use Chat GPT, Claude and other AI tools daily, and we’re looking for someone who loves integrating the newest technologies into their workflow.
