Job summary

GreenShield Canada in Toronto is seeking a BI Analyst to design, build, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and metrics aligned with our strategic priorities. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver actionable insights.

With 3+ years of BI experience and proficiency in SQL and tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, you will ensure data integrity, governance, monitor KPIs, and present findings to diverse audiences. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong technical proficiency in data querying, transformation, and modeling using SQL and related languages (e.g., DAX, Power Query, M).
• Experience developing end-to-end BI solutions, including ETL processes, relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate business requirements into scalable, actionable insights while ensuring data quality and governance.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills, with experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The BusinessIntelligence Analyst enables data‑driven decision‑making by delivering high‑quality,actionable insights aligned to organizational priorities. Acting as a bridgebetween business stakeholders and technical teams, the role ensures analyticssolutions are scalable, accurate, and governed by enterprise data standards.Through proactive performance monitoring and analysis, the Analyst supportsstrategic and operational improvement across the organization.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Post‑secondary degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing and delivering BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong technical proficiency in data querying, transformation, and modeling using SQL and related languages (e.g., DAX, Power Query, M).
• Experience developing end‑to‑end BI solutions, including ETL processes, relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate business requirements into scalable, actionable insights while ensuring data quality and governance.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills, with experience engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics or automation.
• Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics concepts and their integration into BI workflows.
• Background in training or mentoring business users on BI tools and data literacy.
• Bilingual in French and English.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Base Salary:CAD $59,688.00 - 91,109.00
• Offer positioning: Determined using relevant experience, skills, internal equity and current market data.
• Additional compensation: Eligible for a discretionary target bonus.
• Total rewards: Health and dental coverage, retirement savings, paid time off and well-being support (up to $10,000 per year for mental health).
