Job summary

Shannex Incorporated is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Analytics and Innovation Team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You will turn raw data into actionable insights, build reports and dashboards, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions for resident care and operations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in CS, healthcare, statistics, or related field and 2–5 years of experience with SQL and Power BI, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 2–5 years of analytical experience including dashboards, reporting, and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming data; Power BI experience for visualization.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years experience in an analytical role including experience creating dashboards, reporting solutions, and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and transformation. Experience with Power BI for visualization.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, actionable manner.
• Collaborative team approach with problem-solving and decision making skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong continuous learning mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality services and care.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst or SQL Certifications are an asset.
