This role is 100% remote, based in the US or Canada, preferably MST or PST.

Role Overview

We seek an enthusiastic and strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Sales Development team. You will lead initial outreach to targeted Enterprise accounts, collaborating with Field and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams. Your goal is to generate qualified meetings and pipeline for Sales, using creative marketing and sales tactics to engage various buyer personas.

Responsibilities
  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives effectively.
  • Conduct discovery conversations in target accounts.
  • Meet or exceed SAO volume targets.
  • Collaborate on list development, call strategies, and messaging.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and develop interest.
  • Utilize multi-channel touches (call, email, social) using Outreach.io.
  • Manage activities and results in Salesforce.
  • Document processes and collaborate with your Business Development Manager.
  • Drive attendance at regional marketing events.
  • Engage at field marketing events to identify opportunities.
  • Mentor new BDR hires.
  • Develop targeted marketing tactics with Digital Marketing.
  • Partner with Sales for strategic prospecting.
Candidate Profile
  • Located in MST or PST, US or Canada.
  • Excellent phone, listening, and writing skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving KPIs.
  • Self-starter with credible achievements.
  • Aligned with GitLab’s values.
  • Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures.
  • Determined, growth-oriented, and passionate about GitLab.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Tech industry or sales development experience is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).

The salary range for this role in specified locations is $71,400—$105,000 USD, based on experience and other factors. Incentive pay up to 100% of base salary is available for sales roles.
