Our international client, headquartered in Europe, is seeking ‘boots on the ground’ in Vancouver, BC to support with the continued expansion and growth of their brand and international client base.

This position entails working closely with the fabrication plant located in Calgary, and will require travel between Alberta and Vancouver. Training will also take place in the Europe head office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Research and explore growth opportunities for both existing and potential clients
  • Create solid and meaningful relationships with clients and become a trusted advisor
  • Collaborate and work alongside the international teams to educate clients and prospects about products
  • Responsible for delivering proposals, contracts, and sales presentations to clients and prospects
  • Responsible for tracking sales activities, progress, and reporting goals in the CRM
  • Identify and implement approaches which address business matters in ways that bring value to both the clients and the organization
  • Attending trade shows and networking events, as well as assisting with marketing materials and communications
  • Liaising with internal teams such as project managers and engineers when needed

Education:

  • Relevant post secondary an asset

Qualifications:

  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
  • Clear RCMP criminal record check

Experience:

  • 7-10+ years experience in sales and business development required
  • Previous experience working with stainless steel reinforcement required
  • Experience in the construction/concrete industry (asset)
  • Experience in maritime environments (huge asset)

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an international team
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and reporting skills
  • Must be computer literate at an intermediate level
  • Strong decision-making and time-management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and customer oriented nature
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and function effectively in a self-driven working environment
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Base salary + commissions + bonus (Max earnings 250k)

Work Hours:

  • 40 hours per work

Remote Work:

  • This position is remote with regular travel. Both local and international travel to be expected

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
