The EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) is an open, software-defined solution that offers hardware independence, allowing end users to select solutions that scale according to market demands.

What will you do?

We seek a dynamic and strategic Business Development lead to drive revenue for EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE)—a cutting-edge, software-defined industrial automation platform. You will identify, research, and close opportunities by expanding market awareness, influencing decision-makers, and driving adoption among system integrators, OEMs, and industrial end-users. With this new solution, Schneider Electric aims to expand beyond its traditional markets.

  • Drive commercial success through consultative and prescriptive selling techniques.
  • Identify, qualify, and nurture high-potential opportunities, including pilot projects, proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations, and full-scale rollouts of EAE.
  • Collaborate with channel partners, system integrators, and EPC firms to develop joint go-to-market strategies.
  • Build a diversified, multiyear pipeline to realize opportunities.
  • Manage the pipeline and related revenue diligently.
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy positioning EAE as a disruptive open automation platform.
  • Identify market trends and develop business plans to grow in key segments.
  • Understand customer pain points and build trust to facilitate change management for deploying automation solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with engineering, operations, IT, and executive decision-makers to promote EAE adoption.
  • Coordinate internally with business lines, offer managers, and stakeholders to grow EAE.
  • Represent the customer internally to influence product roadmaps and provide market insights.
  • Work closely with EAE CoE, product management, marketing, and customer success teams to align solutions with market needs.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and solution specialists to develop tailored automation solutions using EAE.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, especially for new product introductions.

  • Ability to translate customer problems into business value propositions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
