Job summary

Sky Bird Travel & Tours, Inc. is an award-winning agency with offices across the country. We are seeking a detail-oriented, diligent and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. This position entails maintaining the national account relationship while working to grow the production of their subagent community through education, tool refinement, and promotion.

Primary Responsibilities:

Generate new sales from targeted accounts in our current customer base

  • Accountable for developing new business in assigned regions
  • Demonstrate our WINGS booking engine to current customers and encourage them to use it for all travel product sales
  • Become product expert on the WINGS booking engine
  • Assist with onboarding professional travel agent customers
  • Make physical sales calls on current and prospective clients, coordinating with local office managers
  • Assist with WINGS Booking Engine webinars
  • Provide marketplace feedback and solutions to overcome obstacles
  • Maintain communication with Customer Service team
  • Assist Business Development Director with internal and external issues as directed

Core Competencies:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in travel sales
  • Preferred Multi-lingual but not required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PPT
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Work Environment: Remote with occasional travel

Physical Demand: Standing, sitting, walking, reaching, driving a car
