Join to apply for the Business Development Manager role at Germain Hôtels.

We’re seeking an organized and outgoing Business Development Manager to join the team at Alt Hotel Saskatoon. You will be responsible for sales and events development, leveraging strong analytical abilities and sales skills to develop creative strategies, lead prospecting and negotiations, and contribute to the organization’s success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  1. Draft and negotiate proposals for groups and event bookings.
  2. Manage account performance and develop potential accounts.
  3. Canvass through prospecting, calls for tender, events, and sales blitzes.
  4. Analyze reports, trends, and current market knowledge.
  5. Develop tactics to maximize occupancy and revenue for guest rooms and event spaces.
  6. Gather market and competitor information.
  7. Evaluate and implement long-term strategies and objectives.
  8. Collaborate with our national Business Development team.
  9. Represent Germain Hôtels at trade fairs and during sales campaigns.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  1. Strong sales skills and thorough market knowledge.
  2. 3-5 years of hotel management or similar experience.
  3. College diploma or university degree is an asset.
  4. Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work independently and self-direct.
  6. Creativity, adaptability, and eagerness to innovate.
  7. Friendly personality and excellent communication skills.
  8. Proficiency in English (written and spoken); French is an asset.
