Job summary

FCT is seeking a Business Development Manager in Canada, who will aggressively grow sales, build new relationships and manage accounts, while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years sales experience, strong presentation and communication skills, and a degree in legal or business. The role offers hybrid work arrangements and total direct compensation in CAD.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of aggressive sales experience.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to prospect, create leads, grow the business and manage accounts.
  • Proven exceptional presentation skills.
  • Strong initiative with communication, time management and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Post-Secondary degree in Legal, business or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of legal and/or commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong business development experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Proven ability in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • May require provincial licensing to sell FCT products and services.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
  • Aggressively develop and maintain new and existing relationships with various target audiences to help grow sales and identify new business opportunities.
  • Grow business and exceed sales targets from accounts that are either unknown to FCT, underperforming or under penetrated while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction to ensure we exceed in our customer satisfaction ratings.
  • With unknown or underperforming customers assist in uncovering and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to FCT stakeholders regarding the market to help contribute to FCT goals.
  • Achieve weekly face to face sales calls targets and ensure that all appointments, contacts and opportunities are logged into our client relationship management database by the end of the week in which they occur
  • Work with Sales Leader to develop sales strategy and continue to grow by participating in training, coaching and learning opportunities
  • Develop a clear understanding and awareness of the designated market/area by conducting regular reviews of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT).
  • Scan the market for new business opportunities and new concepts.
  • Proactively realign sales strategies to anticipate changing economic conditions in order to identify and capture opportunities
  • Maintain product knowledge with the ability to answer customer’s questions by participating in sales meetings, company training sessions, and reviewing internal communications for program changes and/or enhancements
  • Be aware of any competitors in the industry and share relevant information with the sales team
  • Maintain positive relationships with all customers by providing support and guidance, product/process information, investigating problems, and assisting in the development of solutions to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Maintain expense control by reviewing individual personal budget and monitoring spending accordingly
  • Contribute to the overall Sales Team effort by proactively sharing best practices and working collaboratively with members of the team and work with internal partners to identify creative opportunities for new business
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • A minimum of 5 years' aggressive sales experience
  • A strong customer focus with the ability to prospect, create leads, grow the business and manage accounts while fostering close account relationships and generating new sales to achieve and exceed individual sales targets
  • Proven exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong initiative coupled with strong communication, time management and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Post- Secondary degree in Legal, business or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of legal and/or commercial real estate experience
  • Strong business development experience in a business to business sales environment
  • Proven ability in building and maintaining successful client relationships
  • As a condition of your employment, you may be required to obtain and maintain appropriate provincial licensing in order to sell FCT products and services

Total Direct Compensation: 95,300 - 145,300

Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g., base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances, where applicable)
